Arbeloa hints at pre-deadline Fulham signings
Head coach Alvaro Arbeloa has again hinted that Fulham could do some late business ahead of next week’s transfer deadline.
The Spaniard took charge of his first Premier League game with the Whites on Monday, narrowly losing to Chelsea.
Fulham owner Shahid Khan was at Craven Cottage alongside his son, Fulham’s director of football Tony Khan, for the west London derby.
And Arbeloa confirmed that discussions took place after the game about potential signings.
“The owners – they are fully committed to the project and we were discussing that maybe we can make the squad a little bit stronger and more balanced, and we know that there is room to improve,” said Arbeloa.
“I’m happy with my players, my squad. I’m happy with the work of the club and the owners. They have already done amazing work in this window. Let’s see what we can do.”
Tony Khan told Talksport on Monday night that he was keen to further add to the squad.
He said: “I’m still looking and I will still do business in this window, absolutely.
“I am definitely working to do more Fulham business in this transfer window. It’s something we will continue to talk about.”

I hope we can bring in another centre back and midfielder.
