Transfer gossip: West Brom again tipped to move for QPR star

West Brom have again been tipped to make another attempt to sign Matt Phillips, this time by the Sunday Mirror.

West London Sport revealed during the summer transfer window that QPR had rejected a £7m bid for Phillips from the Baggies.

There has since been much speculation that they will make another move for the 24-year-old wide-man, who has also been linked with Crystal Palace.

And the Sunday Mirror say Albion plan to make another £7m bid for him when the window reopens in January.

It is claimed that they had a deal lined up to sign Phillips in the summer had Tottenham met the asking price for Albion striker Saido Berahino.
