Chelsea have begun the search for a new right-back amid doubts over Branislav Ivanovic’s long-term future, the Daily Mail say.

There has been speculation that Ivanovic, whose contract expires next summer, could be replaced following a poor start to the season.

The Mail say Chelsea plan to offer Ivanovic, 31, a new one-year contract to stay at Stamford Bridge.

But the newspaper also adds that Blues scouts have been told to compile list of potential right-back signings.

Chelsea have today again been linked with a January move for Red Star Belgrade midfielder Marko Grujic.

Yesterday, The Express, citing the TMW website, claimed that Chelsea sent scouts to watch the 19-year-old, who was part of Serbia’s Under-20 World Cup-winning squad this summer.
