Hugo Rodallega’s equaliser spared Fulham an embarrassing FA Cup exit and set up a fourth-round replay. Here’s how we rated the players in their 1-1 draw at Sheffield United.

David Stockdale: 7
Produced two good saves to keep Fulham in the game before they came up with the all-important equaliser.

Josh Passley: 6
A very difficult debut for the young defender, who came up against determined, high-tempo opposition and atrocious conditions. He was caught out positionally at times but that is almost inevitable for such a young player. He will no doubt have learned a lot.

Philippe Senderos: 5
Was to blame for the Sheffield United goal, which came when he allowed Chris Porter to get in front of him. Cumbersome on the ball and too easily beaten, he looked uncomfortable even against third-tier opposition.

Aaron Hughes: 5
Hughes also struggled at the back, where he was beaten for pace a number of times. Still reads the game well and isn’t helped by having the unreliable Senderos alongside him.

Damien Duff: 5
Seemed to run out of ideas after a decent enough start. Looked very jaded in the second half.

Chris David: 7
Had a decent game in midfield. Embraced the difficult conditions, used the ball well and always looked to beat a man and get towards the box when possible.

Giorgos Karagounis: 6
Struggled off the ball as an energetic United side were able to move around him with ease. He was neat and tidy on the ball though and at the heart of much of Fulham’s best work.

Pajtim Kasami: 7
Didn’t find it easy to influence the game but his movement caused United problems and he served up a couple of decent crosses.

Muamer Tankovic: 7
Showed glimpses of why he is highly thought of. Has a good range of passing and finds space well.

Hugo Rodallega: 6
A poor display overall but did his job by scoring the goal that kept his team in the competition. It came out of nothing as he certainly hadn’t looked a threat.

Ange-Freddy Plumain: 7
Replaced injured left-back John Arne Riise early on and was himself taken off in the second half, but did well while he was on. Full of running and looks a good prospect.

Adel Taarabt: 6
Hit-and-miss after coming off the bench but he at least livened things up a bit in the final minutes and went close when his shot went wide.

Darren Bent: 5
Missing the target from three yards was his only notable contribution while he was on the pitch.

Sheffield United
The Blades deserved at least a draw. They had a couple of chances after going ahead and battled on gamely after Michael Doyle’s dismissal reduced them to 10 men early in the second half. Harry Maguire looks a good prospect and the lively Jose Baxter caused Fulham all sorts of problems.
