Fulham are looking to sign youngster Larnell Cole from Manchester United, according to the Sunday People.
It is claimed that they could make a bid for the 20-year-old midfielder next week but believe it might be difficult to persuade him to move to London on a long-term contract.
The People also claim Fulham head coach Rene Meulensteen wants to push ahead with a £5m bid for Ravel Morrison but technical director Alan Curbishley believes they should instead offer a similar amount for his West Ham team-mate Mo Diame.
It is suggested that the Hammers are unlikely to be willing to sell both players so Fulham must decide which of the two to focus on.
Morrison is keen to move to Craven Cottage according to the Mail on Sunday, who suggest Darren Bent – currently on loan from Aston Villa – could be offered to West Ham in exchange.
