Diame sale expected and Ferdinand is tipped to land senior role at QPR

West Ham are ready to sell Momo Diame to QPR, the Daily Mirror say.

Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has long been keen to sign the midfielder and has been planning a pre-deadline bid.

And Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is said to be happy for the deal to go through so he can bring in a signing of his own.

Diame has long been one of Harry Redknapp’s transfer targets

The Sun reports that QPR legend Les Ferdinand could return to Loftus Road as director of football.

Rangers have been discussing a potential role for the former England striker, who has been out of the game since leaving the coaching staff at Tottenham, where he worked under Redknapp.

And Ferdinand, 47, is tipped to land a senior position, with Redknapp said to be in line for a new two-year deal.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reports that QPR are closing in on a deal to sign goalkeeper Alex McCarthy from Reading for £6m.
