Rangers and Norwich said to be interested in Newcastle winger Gutierrez

QPR are interested in Newcastle winger Jonas Gutierrez, the Sunday People say.

Norwich are also said to be keen on the Argentine, who has reportedly been made available by Magpies boss Alan Pardew.

Meanwhile, QPR have failed with a bid for Bradford City striker Nahki Wells, the Daily Star Sunday say.

It is claimed that Rangers manager Harry Redknapp, who has stated he has no interest in Wells, tried to sign the 23-year-old but failed to meet the £2m asking price.

It comes after Bradford’s director of operations David Baldwin said: “We’ve had one formal bid. It is improved on what Peterborough offered in the summer but it’s not where the club want to be.

“Unless we see any other offers coming through which we feel are worth considering, Nahki remains very much a Bradford City player and part of our plans.”
