Reports: Pardew stops Taylor move, Crouch to snub Palace and return

Peter Crouch is set to reject Crystal Palace in favour of a return to QPR, according to the Daily Mail.

Crouch, who left Loftus Road in 2001, has long been a target for Rangers, who were close to signing the Stoke striker during previous transfer windows and intend to try again in January.

The Mail say Stoke will offload Crouch to finance a move for Hannover 96 forward Mame Biram Diouf.

It is claimed that Palace also want Crouch but that he is likely to take the view that Rangers and Tony Pulis’ side could swap divisions in a few months’ time.

Meanwhile, The Sun suggest that Newcastle manager Alan Pardew refused to allow defender Steven Taylor to join QPR.

Taylor was linked with a move to west London earlier this week, although R’s boss Harry Redknapp insisted he was not looking to sign the centre-back.
