Reports: Man Utd plan Mata bid and Spaniard wants to go

Manchester United plan to table a bid for Chelsea’s Juan Mata in the next 48 hours, according to The Independent.

United boss David Moyes is keen to make major signings and has been linked with a move for Mata for some time.

And the champions reportedly intend to make an offer of at least £30m for the 25-year-old, leaving Blues boss Jose Mourinho with a decision over whether to sell him.

A loan move to Atletico Madrid is also said to be an option for Mata, who has struggled to secure a first-team place under Mourinho this season.

Meanwhile, Italian press reports suggest Lazio are interested in out-of-favour Fulham defender Philippe Senderos.
