QPR v WBA player ratings

Rangers are bottom of the table again after a controversial Boxing Day loss. Here’s how we rated the players in their 2-1 defeat against West Brom.

Robert Green: 5
Poor footwork – as is so often the case with Green – left him with no chance for West Brom’s first goal. Left pathetically pleading for a foul to be awarded after meekly palming the ball into his own net for the second. Yes he was impeded, but he allowed himself to be.

Fabio: 6
A decent enough performance. Perhaps better at right-back than on the other side.

Anton Ferdinand: 6
Ryan Nelsen’s presence was of course missed, especially in the air, but Ferdinand did nothing amazingly wrong.

Clint Hill: 7
Another good display and was unlucky not to score in the second half.

Armand Traore: 6
Solid enough at the back but was quiet going forward.

Jamie Mackie: 6
Not much is going his way at the moment but he continues to work admirably hard.

Stephane Mbia: 7
More effective after the break. Plays with passion and could be a hugely important player during the second half of the season.

Alejandro Faurlin: 5
As always, comfortable when given time on the ball and is facing forward, but ineffective otherwise. Some games will suit him and others not. This one didn’t. Opposing sides know his shortcomings.

Shaun Wright-Phillips: 6
Some bright moments and got through a fair bit of defensive work, but still needs to deliver more.

Adel Taarabt: 6
Produced a couple of trademark moments of magic but a lack of support from his team-mates meant he was crowded out and fairly easily contained by Albion.

Djibril Cisse: 6
Took his goal well but is just going through the motions ahead of a possible January move that has been on the cards for some time.

Samba Diakite: 6
Helped drive Rangers forward after coming on in the second half.

Junior Hoilett: 6
Also had a go after coming on.
