QPR dug in for a point against manager Harry Redknapp’s former club. Here’s how we rated the players in their hard-fought goalless draw with Tottenham at Loftus Road.

Julio Cesar: 8
Is adapting to the English game and, bar one or two unconvincing moments, was generally sound. Also pulled off an all-important double save early on, denying Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor.

Nedum Onuoha: 8
Uncomfortable at right-back and should be considered as an option in the centre given Ryan Nelsen’s imminent departure and Redknapp’s justified reluctance to pick Anton Ferdinand. But even at full-back Onuoha has done well of late – and a battle with Gareth Bale suited him more than most.

Ryan Nelsen: 7
Solid against his former club, who put Rangers under plenty of pressure.

Clint Hill: 8
Often gutsy and dependable as part of a team effort but can have problems if left one-versus-one. Not in this game, however – as Adebayor’s friendly tap of acknowledgement on Hill’s back as the Spurs striker was substituted showed. A fine display from the Rangers man.

Fabio: 8
Possibly his best performance for QPR so far. Did well against Aaron Lennon and got forward himself at times, showing some Clive Wilson-like flair on the ball. Quick, skilful and determined, he could pull up some trees if he can maintain that kind of form.

Shaun Derry: 7
Did his job in front of the back four.

Jamie Mackie: 7
The Spurs fan worked typically hard on the right flank, dispossessing opposing defenders a number of times and constantly looking to make things happen.

Ji-sung Park: 5
Did contribute, closing down when he could and keeping the ball well at times. Is willing and can read the game, so knew what he needed to do – his legs just aren’t getting him there. Lack of sharpness is obvious and he was fortunate Sandro went off injured after a 23-minute mismatch in midfield.

Stephane Mbia: 6
Very hit and miss, but his hits can be fun to watch. Certainly doesn’t lack desire.

Shaun Wright-Phillips: 7
Had a decent sight of goal in the first half and might have scored. Caused some problems for Spurs at times and also tracked back well.

Adel Taarabt: 7
Has really taken to his new role as a lone striker. Worked hard and showed his usual ability to create. Also dropped deep at times, either to pick the ball up or give Rangers some extra help in midfield.
