QPR plan to sack Mark Hughes and appoint Harry Redknapp after Saturday’s game against Manchester United, the Daily Mirror suggest.
It is claimed Rangers are confident Redknapp will take charge as early as Sunday and that he will be given the green light to revamp the squad in January.
It is also suggested that the club’s hand was forced when the Ukraine FA apparently made overtures to Redknapp this week.
The Daily Mail also say Hughes is close to being fired and reckon chairman Tony Fernandes was close to wielding the axe after Rangers’ recent defeat at Arsenal.

Meanwhile, keeper Paul Robinson could join Fulham after Blackburn made a move to re-sign Brad Friedel, according to the Mirror.
Rovers are believed to be keen to take Friedel back to Ewood Park from Tottenham, with Robinson then being allowed to leave the Championship club.
That apparently might alert Fulham boss Martin Jol, who was Robinson’s manager at Spurs.

Haha! John G ‘dead goat’s love or! Ya, it’s just not meant to be under Hughes. Although I am more confident in arry than you are. He is very respected and think the players will react to him immediately. He is more of a man manager too which seemed lacking under the laser beam face of Hughes. Still think sparky is a good manager but not working here. Hope this is true!

after travelling 300 miles to watch my beloved QPR it was shameful to see the lack of effort that was on show against the saints, I always thought Hughes was supposed to be a motivator, our defense is obviously being coached by that second rate defender Mark Bowen because we haven’t got a clue when it comes to marking players. Its a mess Warnock didn’t understand tactics but at least we had desire. This needs to be changed , Harry or Ollie would be my choice.

I have no doubt that Hughes and his backroom staff haven’t done a great job behind the scenes. Unfortunately sometimes no matter how good you are as a manager you don’t reap the rewards of your efforts. We have a mixed bunch of guys and talents. I think there are a few that just aren’t good enough anymore and are a bit slow at this level, and a few that only play well when they are surrounded by complimentary players. I don’t think we have the right balance in the team and let’s face it the premiership is the best league in the world and you get quickly found out if you’re left wanting in any position. I too have doubts about Redknapp, he went down with WHU and sent Bournemouth down too. Yes he escaped a few games before the end so he escaped that honour. However, I think we need a man motivator, someone who can resurrect the dead and make these guys believe again because I haven’t seen one game yet where I think they truly believe in one another………I like Sparkie, he was a menace on the pitch but question whether he is the right menace off it….?!

Am not exactly Harry’s biggest fan but, at this time, even a dead goat would make a better manager than Sparkless Mark Hughes!
