QPR boss Redknapp eyeing Cameroon defender – report

QPR boss Harry Redknapp is planning a move for Rennes defender Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik, according to The Sun on Sunday.

Redknapp supposedly had the Cameroon international, 23, watched in Rennes’ win over Troyes on Thursday.

He is also ready to offer Frank Lampard a two-and-a-half-year deal to join Rangers, according to the Sunday People.

Redknapp recently laughed-off suggestions he could sign his nephew but it is claimed he hopes to capture him from Chelsea in January.

Lampard is wanted by Arsenal, according to the Sunday Mirror.

It is claimed Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is weighing up whether to make an offer for the 34-year-old midfielder in January or wait until his Chelsea contract expires at the end of the season.

The People say Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala – managed by former Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink – are looking to sign Fernando Torres.

Hiddink has a good relationship with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and the pair are understood to have discussed Torres’ current problems at Stamford Bridge.

The Sunday Mirror suggest striker Darrent Bent could join QPR from Aston Villa despite falling out with Redknapp when they were at Tottenham.

The Daily Star Sunday report that Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas will not allow Scott Parker to move to Loftus Road.

And Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is finalising a £12m January bid for Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge, according to the Sunday Express.
