QPR are favourites to win the Championship – and may surprise Arsenal

QPR can do Chelsea a favour when they face Arsenal on Saturday and are 13/2 to pull off a shock win.charlie-mcCann_Aff

There has been much speculation about whether Harry Redknapp will be in charge of the R’s on the opening day of the next season and we bet 1/2 yes and 6/4 that Redknapp is no longer manager at Loftus Road.

Incidentally, Rangers are 5/1 favourites for the 2013/14 Championship title, with Reading 10s.

Loic Remy is 19/2 to score the opening goal against Arsenal with Theo Walcott 17/4 favourite.

Rangers have pride and their futures to play for and I don’t expect them to fold tamely. It certainly wouldn’t surprise me to see them nick a point (19/5).

Our 10/1 quote at BetVictor for 1-1 is looking a shade too big – especially when you think that Arsenal have scored only one goal in seven of their last eight league meetings with the Hoops.

The Gunners have never won in the Premier League at Loftus Road, having played five times and picked up three draws, but against that it is 275 minutes and counting since Rangers found the back of the net.

Chelsea travel to Old Trafford on Sunday to meet Manchester United are now 4/7 to be top London club, with Arsenal 2s and Spurs 6s.

The Blues are also 1/7 to be playing in the Champions league again next term and we suspended betting on the next Chelsea manager, with Jose Mourinho 1/20 when we pulled the market on the worst kept secret in football.

Rafa Benitez is 9/4 at BetVictor to be the next Premier League manager to lose/leave his post and that looks too big despite rumours that Tony Pulis (7/2) may leave Stoke. Redknapp is 5/1, Alan Pardew 8s and David Moyes 12s.

United are 5/4 to take all three points with Chelsea 23/10 and the draw at 13/5.

Robin van Persie (six in his last four games) is 17/4 to grab the opening goal with Demba Ba 13/2, Juan Mata 9s and Frank Lampard at 10/1.

The last six games between the sides has seen 29 goals and the Blues have kept only one clean sheet in their last 17 trips to Old Trafford.

Fulham were beaten at Goodison Park for the 20th time in a row last weekend.

They now face Reading, who have lost 11 of their last 12 on their travels.

Fulham are 3/4 to return to winning ways and there was enough against both Everton and Arsenal in recent weeks to suggest the Whites should be too good for the Royals (9/2).

Dimitar Berbatov is 19/4 to score the opening goal with Mladen Petric 5s and Bryan Ruiz a big-looking 13/2.

Fulham are 17/10 to be leading at both half-time and full time and unless there is an end-of-season atmosphere around the Cottage, they are taken to win well.
