QPR striker Johnson linked with a loan move to Sunderland

Andy Johnson is the latest QPR player to be linked with a move to Sunderland.

Black Cats boss Gus Poyet wants to take the striker to the Stadium of Light on loan, the Sunday People claim.

Johnson, who turns 33 next month and has been nursing a knee complaint, is said to be fit again and eager to play more first-team football.

Since making an enquiry about Julio Cesar – the first approach QPR have received for the Brazil keeper – Poyet has also been linked with Rangers’ out-of-favour wide-man Shaun Wright-Phillips.
