Millwall v QPR player ratings

Jermaine Easter’s injury-time goal meant QPR had to settle for a point against Millwall. Here’s how we rated Rangers’ players in their 2-2 draw at The Den.

Rob Green: 6
Had little to do for large spells of the game and was left badly exposed for both Millwall goals.

Danny Simpson: 7
Worked hard on the right-hand side and did well to get through the entire game after picking up a knock.

Richard Dunne: 5
Unusually sloppy, not least when his error led to Millwall’s first equaliser. Looked off the pace throughout.

Clint Hill: 6
Did the basics well and was more solid than his below-par centre-back partner.

Benoit Assou-Ekotto: 7
Was again able to coast through the match, showing his ability going forward without being troubled defensively.

Gary O’Neil: 6
Was neat and tidy on the right against the club he supported as a boy. Had his work cut out defensively at times.

Karl Henry: 7
Did his job in the kind of away match he was signed for. Protected his back four and saved the day with a couple of excellent challenges near the edge of the Rangers box.

Joey Barton of QPR
Barton was involved in the opening goal.

Joey Barton: 7
Gave the ball away on occasions but was otherwise effective in midfield and linked up well with Niko Kranjcar for the opening goal.

Junior Hoilett: 6
Offered a threat on the counter-attack and was involved in Rangers’ first goal. Overall though he struggled to get into the game on his return to the starting line-up and is still rediscovering his sharpness following a hamstring injury.

Niko Kranjcar: 8
After a disappointing display against Barnsley, this was more like Kranjcar’s classy performance on his home debut. Hit the post with a cracking effort before scoring his first goal for QPR with another fine strike. Faded in the second half but still managed to set up a goal for Charlie Austin with a sublime pass.

Charlie Austin: 7
His display summed up his Rangers career so far; stuck at it when things didn’t go his way and then got his reward.
