Lukaku has a point to prove but Chelsea should be too strong for Everton

Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 20 Premier League games against Saturday’s opponents Everton at Stamford Bridge, having won the last two corresponding fixtures courtesy of a 90th-minute goal.

The Blues once again threw away a lead against West Brom in midweek and they have now dropped more points (13) from winning positions than any other side in the division this season.

Chelsea are 4/5 to win this weekend’s game, with Everton 19/5 and the draw 29/10.

Everton picked up a good point at Arsenal but were arguably slightly fortunate – and I expect to see goals at the Bridge.

Former Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has 15 league goals this term and is 7/1 to score the opener and 21/10 to find the back of the net some time during the 90 minutes, with Diego Costa favourite at 19/5 and 21/20 respectively.

I expect to see a Chelsea win and both teams to score, which is priced at 5/2 with BetVictor.

It promises to be an excellent game, with Guus Hiddink having happy memories of Everton given that he managed Chelsea to an FA Cup win against the Toffees back in 2009.

Chelsea, incidentally, are 11/1 for a top-four finish after dropping two points against the Baggies, but in to 5/1 for the FA Cup after they were drawn away at Northampton or MK Dons in the fourth round.
