Leicester v QPR player ratings

QPR finished bottom of the table after their Premier League season ended with a thrashing at Leicester. Here’s how we rated the players in their 5-1 defeat.

Alex McCarthy: 5
Should have dealt with a shot from Riyad Mahrez that led to Jamie Vardy’s opener. Struggled in Rob Green’s absence.

Nedum Onuoha: 6
Cleared a dangerous looping cross off the line with the score at 0-0 but was beaten down the wing by Jeffrey Schlupp too often.

Richard Dunne: 6
Cut out some through-balls and tried to get Rangers playing from the back, although Leicester’s persistent attacks proved too strong.

Clint Hill: 5
Could not cope with the pace of Vardy, who nipped in behind on several occasions and caused Hill trouble all afternoon.

Yun Suk-Young: 5
Terrorised by inspired performances from wide-men Riyad Mahrez and Marc Albrighton, especially when he lost track of the latter in the build-up to Leicester’s second goal.

Matty Phillips: 6
Came within inches of scoring with another impressive long-range strike, but generally failed to link up successfully with the forwards.

Karl Henry; 5
The midfielder was totally outclassed in the centre of the park by the outstanding Esteban Cambiasso.

Joey Barton: 7
Worked hard and his set pieces threatened the Foxes defence. He was rewarded when Charlie Austin nodded in his accurate delivery.

Leroy Fer: 5
Went missing for most of the match and lost possession far too often. A really poor display.

Charlie Austin : 7
Took his glancing header excellently to pull a goal back for Rangers – his 18th of a fantastic season individually. Capped a week in which he was called up to the England squad.

Reece Grego-Cox: 6
Fed off scraps on his full debut and battled Wes Morgan with his back to goal. Failed to convert a great chance from close range at 2-0 that would have got QPR back in the game.
