De Bruyne wants permanent move from Chelsea in January – report

Kevin de Bruyne is reportedly looking to quit Chelsea.

De Bruyne has been tipped to make another loan move away from Stamford Bridge, with Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen said to be interested.

But the Daily Telegraph say he is thought to favour a permanent transfer to German club Wolfsburg and that his agent will speak to Chelsea next week to seek the green light for the Belgian to leave the club.

There are doubts over De Bruyne’s future

It is claimed De Bruyne is concerned he will not be given enough action at Chelsea to be sure of a World Cup place – and that his club and international team-mate Eden Hazard has advised him to move on.

De Bruyne, 22, has not played in the Premier League since a brief substitute appearance against Fulham in September and was criticised by boss Jose Mourinho for his display at Swindon in the Capital One Cup.

Meanwhile, Metro suggest Spain’s Juan Mata is also concerned his World Cup chances could be affected if he does not retain a regular place in the Chelsea side.

And there is some uncertainty over the future of Sam Walker, who has impressed for Colchester.

The East Anglian Daily Times report that the young Chelsea keeper is unsure whether he will rejoin the U’s when his loan spell expires in January.

Walker said: “I’m having some talks with Chelsea in the next couple of weeks. Once I know what’s going on there I will be able to act accordingly.”
