More Ba speculation and De Bruyne’s agent denies club want £25m

Kevin De Bruyne’s agent Patrick de Koster has denied reports Chelsea want £25m for the Belgian midfielder.

German magazine Kicker has also reported that De Koster has been seen at Wolfsburg’s winter training camp in Abu Dhabi, seemingly suggesting they are close to signing De Bruyne.

“Hopefully something happens,” De Koster is quoted as saying. “Kevin would prefer a move to the Bundesliga.”

Demba Ba is again being linked with a possible return to Newcastle, this time by the Express.

It is claimed the Chelsea striker is one of a number of players on a shortlist of targets drawn up by Magpies director of football Joe Kinnear and chief scout Graham Carr.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid sporting director Jose Luis Caminero has told Spanish newspaper Marca he is confident Diego Costa will stay at the club despite the striker being linked with a move to Chelsea.

Caminero said: “Costa does not thinking about leaving. He has shown that he wants to continue with this club.”
