Chelsea linked with Senegal star

Chelsea are considering a move for Nantes centre-back Papy Djilobodji, the Daily Star say.

It is claimed that they have watched the 25-year-old Senegal international and will compete with Borussia Dortmund to sign him.

Meanwhile, Robert Lewandowski, supposedly a transfer target for Chelsea, has agreed to join Bayern Munich from Borussia Dortmund in June.

Inter Milan could be ready to sell midfielder Fredy Guarin to Chelsea for £15m, according to The Times

It is claimed that the Blues have had a £13m bid for the 27-year-old rejected but that Inter are open to a deal and talks are at an advanced stage.

Metro claim Chelsea have opened talks with French club St Etienne over a deal to sign defender Kurt Zouma, who has been repeatedly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.

And Wolfsburg are insisting they will not pay over the odds for Kevin de Bruyne.

The midfielder is keen to leave Chelsea, who reportedly want £25m if they are to let him go on a permanent basis.

“The fact that we have to pay a certain price for a player like De Bruyne is normal but we do not want to pay astronomical prices,” Wolfsburg manager Dieter Hecking told German magazine Kicker.

The German club’s sporting director Klaus Allofs said: “We have our ideas and a price range in mind, but any further we cannot go.”

Finally, the Star report that many Arsenal fans are desperate for their club to beat Chelsea to the signing of Manchester United’s England striker Wayne Rooney.
