Chelsea set to miss out on veteran Italy star, reports claim

Andrea Pirlo, a Chelsea target according to Italian media reports, looks set to sign a new contract at Juventus.

Tottenham have also been linked with the 34-year-old Italy star, and the Daily Mirror suggests both clubs are likely to miss out.

Another player linked with Chelsea, Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa, is being tipped to join Arsenal, the Daily Star reports.

Brazilian playmaker Jorginho, also a target for Chelsea according to Talksport, will leave Hellas Verona this month if the Serie A club receive a big offer, his agent has said.

Kevin De Bruyne of Chelsea
De Bruyne is tipped to leave Chelsea.

Liverpool have also been linked with the 22-year-old and his representative, Joao Santos, claims several other clubs are interested.

Santos told TMW: “He can leave Verona now if he receives a great offer.

“If an important proposal arrives then it is fair that the player is allowed to leave.

“In Italy there are three or four teams who can pay for him and Napoli is one of them.”

The Daily Mail says Kevin de Bruyne’s proposed move from Chelsea to Wolfsburg has moved closer.

The German outfit have apparently agreed terms with De Bruyne’s agents, although the two clubs are yet to thrash out a deal.

Wolfsburg are reported to have offered £17m and would prefer to sign the Belgian midfielder on a permanent basis but are willing to accept a loan deal with a view to a permanent move.

Meanwhile, Paris St-Germain are confident they will be able to sign Eden Hazard from Chelsea in the summer, according to French media reports.
