Hounslow man linked with January transfer to Stoke City

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes wants to sign Michael Mancienne, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Hounslow-born defender, 25, has been tipped to return to England from Hamburg, where he has been playing since the summer of 2011.

And it is claimed that Hughes is looking to capture Mancienne when the January transfer window opens.

A former England Under-21 international, Mancienne started his career at Chelsea but was unable to establish himself in the first team at Stamford Bridge. He also spent the best part of two seasons on loan at QPR.
