Fulham and Liverpool battling to sign German midfielder – report
Fulham will battle with Liverpool for the signing of Cologne midfielder Yannick Gerhardt, according to The Sun on Sunday.
It is claimed Liverpool have watched him and had discussions with the German club.
Meanwhile, the Sunday People say Fulham have made a £1m bid for Sunderland’s Phil Bardsley.
Defender Bardsley was apparently made aware of the interest but has decided to stay at the Stadium of Light, where his contract expires at the end of the season.
The People also claim Fulham wanted Adam Johnson but Sunderland would not sell, and that the Whites are competing with Crystal Palace for the signing of Brondby’s 6ft 7in striker Simon Makienok.
