Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wants to sign Southampton’s Italian striker Graziano Pellè, the Sun on Sunday claim.
It comes after Pelle, 30, was dropped for Southampton’s recent game against Manchester City, and amid speculation about his future.
Conte, who has been linked with a host of players since landing the Chelsea manager’s job, will consider an £8m move for Pelle, the Sun on Sunday say.
The newspaper suggests the pair have a strong relationship as Pelle was included in the Italy squad by Conte in March and has won 11 caps under him.

Meanwhile, there continue to be reports that Chelsea’s Oscar could join Juventus and that the Blues are interested in Nice’s former Newcastle playmaker Hatem Ben Arfa.
And, claiming an exclusive, the Sunday Express say Chelsea have ended their interest in Everton’s England defender John Stones.
