Transfer gossip: Solanke’s Chelsea future in doubt, Mail claims

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…

Chelsea fear they might lose teenage striker Dominic Solanke, it is claimed.

A number of Blues youngsters whose representatives have been pushing for improved contracts have been linked with moves to other clubs in recent months.

And the Daily Mail reports that ‘rival clubs are preying’ as Solanke, who has a year remaining on his contract, has rejected offers of a new deal.

Solanke, 18, is currently on loan at Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem, where he has scored seven times in 24 appearances this season.

Chelsea are said to have reacted to apparent doubts over his future by lining up Fulham forward Moussa Dembele, who has recently been linked with the Blues and whose contract expires this summer.

Meanwhile, the Daily Star have picked up on reports in John Mikel Obi’s native Nigeria which have suggested the Chelsea midfielder is wanted by Valencia and that talks about a potential deal have taken place.

And Chelsea are increasingly confident of signing Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan, ESPN believe.
