Transfer gossip: More speculation over futures of Lukaku and Courtois

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…

Romelu Lukaku’s father would rather the Everton striker did not return to Chelsea, The Sun reports.

Lukaku, sold by Chelsea in 2014, has been linked with a possible return to Stamford Bridge this summer.

The Sun say Lukaku, who has also been linked with Manchester United, is wanted by Roman Abramovich, Antonio Conte and Michael Emenalo.

Italy boss Conte is widely tipped to take over at the Bridge, while Chelsea owner Abramovich reportedly believes selling Lukaku, 22, was a mistake and technical director Emenalo is said to be keen to re-sign him.

But Lukaku Snr is quoted as saying: “I see that there is interest from Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester United.

“I think he must choose Manchester United or Bayern Munich. Manchester United is a team under construction with no real focus.

“Bayern Munich is a machine where he can rotate well. The only condition is if Robert Lewandowski leaves.”

The Sun say Real Madrid could also make a move for Lukaku, who has scored 25 goals this season.

Meanwhile, comments by Thibaut Courtois have increased speculation over the Chelsea goalkeeper’s future.

Courtois has been asked whether he is likely to leave the Blues following their disappointing season.

He told Belgian broadcaster RTBF: “I do not say yes, I do not say no. I do not know. I still have three years on my contract. We must see what Chelsea want.

“It is true that it (this season) has changed me. Until now I had always won a trophy every season. We hope that next season will be better.”
