Transfer gossip: Speculation over the futures of Hazard, Musonda and Green

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving the area’s clubs…

Several clubs have been linked with Charly Musonda amid speculation over the youngster’s future.

After the Daily Mail reported that Chelsea are looking to send Musonda out on loan, the Daily Star claim this has put Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal on ‘red alert’.

The Star also claim United are planning a £45m move for Eden Hazard.

There has been much speculation that Hazard could leave Chelsea this month, with Real Madrid and Paris St-Germain reported to be keen to sign him.

United have supposedly turned to Hazard after being told they have no chance of signing Gareth Bale from Real.

The Star quotes a source as saying: “The club (United) has to be realistic and realise that signing Gareth Bale or Cristiano Ronaldo remains a long shot, which means alternative targets come into the equation.

“Eden Hazard is certainly one of those and the type of player United need if they want to start winning trophies again.”

The Sun say Chelsea will make a move for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain if Hazard leaves.

It is claimed that the England international wants a new challenge because of his lack of first-team starts at Arsenal.

The Sun also suggest Chelsea will face competition from Barcelona if they want to sign Everton defender John Stones.

The Mail also reports that Chelsea are tracking Xavi Simons, a 12-year-old who is currently on Barcelona’s books.

And reports in Turkey suggest Papy Djilobodji – who has played one minute in a Chelsea shirt – is wanted by Besiktas.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth have shown an interest in Rob Green, the Mail claim.

West London Sport recently revealed that QPR are considering making the 35-year-old goalkeeper available to other clubs in an attempt to reduce the wage bill at Loftus Road.

A clause in Green’s contract means he will land a new deal if he makes 30 appearances for Rangers this season. He has so far made 25.

The Mail say he has attracted Bournemouth’s interest but that the south-coast club are likely to persevere with Artur Boruc.
