Southampton have made a £10m bid for Charlie Austin, the Daily Express claim.

QPR, who want £15m, are yet to receive any offers for the striker but there continues to be speculation about his future.

The Express say Southampton have made an offer and that Chelsea, Newcastle and West Ham are also keen.

Crystal Palace are another club to have been linked with Austin in recent weeks.

The Daily Mirror say Palace’s board are refusing to pay Rangers’ asking price, apparently leaving Eagles manager Alan Pardew frustrated.

The Mirror also reports that West Brom are looking to push through a £5m deal for QPR winger Matt Phillips.
