Transfer gossip: Chelsea linked with Buitink, Hyndman keen to leave Fulham

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving the area’s clubs…

The Daily Star claim Chelsea are leading a race to sign 15-year-old forward Thomas Buitink from Vitesse Arnhem.

The Daily Mail reported on Thursday that Manchester City are interested in the player and that Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal are also aware of him.

Picking up on that story, the Star suggest the Blues are best placed to sign Buitink because of their partnership agreement with Vitesse.

Italian media reports continue to suggest that Juventus will look to complete a deal to sign Juan Cuadrado on a permanent basis after he impressed while on loan from Chelsea.

The Blues are looking for a fee of around £14.5m, it has been reported.

And French media reports continue to claim that Chelsea will pursue a deal to sign Paris St-Germain defender Marquinhos when the transfer window reopens in January.

Barcelona are among the other top European clubs said to be chasing the 21-year-old Brazilian centre-back, who was linked with a move to Stamford Bridge during the final stages of the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, Fulham’s United States international midfielder Emerson Hyndman has told American Sports Network he is keen to leave Craven Cottage.

“It’s a little difficult right now,” Hyndman is quoted as saying.

“I’ve told them in the past that I think it’s time for me to move on. There are clubs out there that are interested and that I am excited about.

“I can’t see myself getting too many first-team minutes. I feel that I had a good pre-season, and I thought I might get a chance, but I am really looking forward to the future more than anything.

“I am looking at all possibilities and I am not ruling anything out yet. All I want to do is play and get first-team minutes consistently.”
