Transfer gossip: ‘Rocked’ Chelsea are linked with Jovetic
A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…
The Daily Star Sunday claim incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wants to sign Stevan Jovetic.
The 26-year-old striker is currently on loan at Inter Milan from Manchester City, where he was unable to make an impact after being signed in 2013.
It is claimed that Conte is keen to bring Jovetic to Stamford Bridge and that Chelsea would be willing to match his current wages – apparently £90,000 a week.
Meanwhile, the Sunday Express claim Chelsea are among the clubs ‘rocked’ by reports Tottenham are in talks to sign Lille midfielder Sofiane Boufal.
It comes after the website Foot Mercato reported that Spurs were close to agreeing a £16m deal to buy the 22-year-old. Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United are supposedly also interested in him.
And the Daily Star Sunday also declare that Chelsea have been ‘rocked’, this time because John Stones will apparently sign for Manchester City – if Everton agree to sell him.
The Star recently reported that Chelsea were determined to sign the England defender this summer, but now say Stones, 21, favours a move to City.
