Chelsea’s apparent hopes of signing midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan have been boosted after discussions over a new contract at Borussia Dortmund stalled, the Daily Mirror say.
The Armenia international, 27, is one of a host of players incoming Blues boss Antonio Conte is said to be keen to sign, while Arsenal are also reported to be interested.
Mkhitaryan’s current deal expires next year and he is said to want a release clause included in any new contract, which his club apparently do not want to agree to.
Meanwhile, speculation continues over the future of John Terry, who is expected to leave Chelsea when his contract expires this summer.
