Chelsea fans on Twitter discuss Matic’s future

Many Chelsea fans on Twitter have been discussing the future of Nemanja Matic after he was left out of the starting line-up for the 3-0 win at Crystal Palace.

John Mikel Obi played in the holding role instead and earned praise from manager Guus Hiddink, who declared that the Nigerian could be one of the “key figures in getting the balance back”.

That has thrown the spotlight on Matic, whose role in the team alongside the likes of Mikel, Cesc Fabregas and Ramires has been questioned by some Blues supporters.

  • Matic is a fantastic since last year, but he usually made many mistakes

  • u Guys just criticise players bcoz of there deep in form....matic, hazard are the best players in there position in elp last season....I know he will come good bcoz he's for sure beta than mikel, wot happen to dem also affect d rest in d team...just encourage dem to get beta rather than criticising them.... up blues.

  • Mikel is a brilliant player bt so is Matic.. Mikel is da better player now because he has a point to prove and he is hungry bt it does not make Matic a useless player. He is just of form and all sports players go through a slump in their careers. Well done to Obi, he deserves his chance and as Matic, I hope he regains his form, we still need him...

  • Believe me matic is nt wat Chelsea want he play with just one leg, lack control with d ball and make too many mistakes I think shd be sold or stay out for now.

  • matic should get lost. i cant count how many lost balls or mistakes made by matic that has led to goals conceeded or penalties. he is helsea's biggest flop of the season.
