QPR tipped for £1.5m move for keeper and Ream is tipped to join Fulham

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving QPR and Fulham…

QPR are set to launch a £1.5m bid for Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Alex Smithies, the Daily Mail say.

Rangers are looking for a keeper following Alex McCarthy’s recent departure for Crystal Palace.

There has also been speculation that first-choice keeper Rob Green could leave Loftus Road before the transfer window closes.

There have been suggestions that West Ham are looking to re-sign Green, 35, who left the east London club to join QPR in 2012.

The Mail reports that Rangers are keen on Smithies, 25, and also claims there is interest in Green among Premier League sides, including West Ham.

QPR have not received any expressions of interest in Green.
Smithies signed a new deal in February, extending his Huddersfield contract until 2018.
He is one of a number of possible alternative signings Rangers have made enquiries about while they negotiate with Southend over a fee for 22-year-old keeper Daniel Bentley.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Bolton defender Tim Ream is set to join Fulham rather than QPR.

ESPN say Ream is set to hold talks with Fulham manager Kit Symons and looks likely to move to Craven Cottage.

QPR are in talks with Ream after agreeing a £1.4m fee with Bolton and believe the move will go through.
His visa would need to be renewed before he is eligible to play.
There is interest from Fulham, who appear to be willing to match the asking price.
Rangers head coach Chris Ramsey has said that other potential signings are being considered should Ream not sign for the R’s.
