QPR and Fulham linked with Gayle and speculation over Austin continues

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving QPR, Fulham and Chelsea…

Both QPR and Fulham are chasing Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle, according to the Daily Mail.

Middlesbrough and Bournemouth are also said to be keen on Gayle, who is apparently valued at £10m.

It is suggested that Gayle is wanted on loan by Fulham and has been identified by Rangers as a possible replacement for Charlie Austin.

It has been widely claimed that Newcastle are trying to agree a deal to sign Austin, who has also been linked with the likes of West Ham despite only Leicester having made an approach so far this summer.

The Express say Bordeaux forward Diego Rolan has been lined up by Newcastle as a back-up option should they fail to land Austin.

Meanwhile, Chelsea want Danny Rose and are prepared to pay Tottenham £15m for the left-back, according to the Daily Mirror.

It is claimed that the Blues enquired about Rose, 25, over the weekend and have since asked Spurs to name their price.

A £17m deal to sign Ghana left-back Abdul Baba Rahman from Augsburg is apparently a back-up option if Chelsea are unable to agree a fee for Rose.
