Blues linked with Real midfielder and QPR linked with French left-back

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea and QPR…

Chelsea are one of the English clubs trying to sign Real Madrid midfielder Lucas Silva, the Daily Star claim.

Following French media reports that Arsenal are keen on the 22-year-old, the Star suggest that he is also target for the Blues, Manchester United and Southampton.

There is again speculation, on this occasion in The Times, that John Stones could hand in a transfer request in an attempt to force a move from Everton to Chelsea.

And the fee the Blues are reportedly prepared to pay in order to land Paul Pogba continues to rise.

The Daily Express now say Chelsea are willing to splash out up to £72m for the Juventus midfielder.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror say West Ham’s approach for keeper Rob Green failed because QPR wanted to sign James Collins from the east London club in exchange.

QPR believe Green will end up staying at Loftus Road

It comes after R’s head coach Chris Ramsey confirmed to West London Sport that the Hammers were looking to sign Green but that no deal had been agreed.

Collins, it is claimed, was unwilling to drop down to the Championship so refused to move.

And French media reports claim QPR are interested in Metz defender Gaëtan Bussmann.

Bristol City are also said to be keen on the 24-year-old. who can play at left-back or as a centre-back.
