A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea and QPR…
Chelsea are one of the English clubs trying to sign Real Madrid midfielder Lucas Silva, the Daily Star claim.
Following French media reports that Arsenal are keen on the 22-year-old, the Star suggest that he is also a target for the Blues, Manchester United and Southampton.
There is again speculation, on this occasion in The Times, that John Stones could hand in a transfer request in an attempt to force a move from Everton to Chelsea.
And the fee the Blues are reportedly prepared to pay in order to land Paul Pogba continues to rise.
The Daily Express now say Chelsea are willing to splash out up to £72m for the Juventus midfielder.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror say West Ham’s approach for keeper Rob Green failed because QPR wanted to sign James Collins from the east London club in exchange.
It comes after R’s head coach Chris Ramsey confirmed to West London Sport that the Hammers were looking to sign Green but that no deal had been agreed.
Collins, it is claimed, was unwilling to drop down to the Championship so refused to move.
