Blues linked with Lewes striker and Chinese club reportedly want Willian

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…

Chelsea are among Premier League clubs chasing Charlie Coppola, a 16-year-old striker who plays for non-league Lewes, according to the Sun.

It is claimed that Leicester are looking to sign the youngster but now face competition from the Blues as well as Manchester United and Arsenal.

Lewes winger Yasin Ben El-Mhanni, 20, is currently on trial with Chelsea and scored in a recent Under-21 match.

Meanwhile, Chelsea star Willian, who is expected to sign a new contract, is a £50m target for Chinese Super League outfit Guangzhou Evergrande, the Daily Mirror say.

The Mirror also say Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who was this week linked with Chelsea, is wanted by Arsenal as well.

And the Daily Star claim comments made by Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic were him telling Chelsea or Liverpool what they need to do to sign him.

It comes after the Croatian, who has also recently been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, was quoted in the Italian media as saying: “I’ve got a five-year contract and I’m coming to the end of the first, which means I still have four to run.

“You never know in football, though, but if someone were interested they’d need to talk to Inter.”
