Loftus-Cheek hailed by Chelsea fans on Twitter after Champions League display
Chelsea fans on Twitter have been lauding Ruben Loftus-Cheek for his performance against Maccabi Tel Aviv – and many are calling for the teenager to start Saturday’s league clash with Arsenal.
Loftus-Cheek put in a hugely impressive display in the 4-0 Champions League victory, playing alongside Cesc Fabregas in midfield.
And although Arsenal will prove a tougher test, plenty of Blues supporters believe the 19-year-old is ready to play – even ahead of the former Gunners captain.

However, some Chelsea supporters believe Loftus-Cheek shouldn’t be thrown into the intensity of a London derby, with next week’s League Cup tie at Walsall a more likely next step in his development.
