Chelsea can get first clean sheet – and can Costa make it three out of three?

Diego Costa is one of 38 players who have scored at least 10 Premier League goals for Chelsea – and he now has the best minutes-per-goal ratio of them all.

On average, Costa has found the net for Chelsea every 137 minutes. It’s an impressive statistic.charlie-mcCann_Aff

So far this season he has scored the winner in both their Premier League games – and he is 3/1 at BetVictor to score the opening goal against Burnley at Stamford Bridge this weekend.

We also make him 5/6 to make it three out of three in the top flight this season and score again in Saturday’s game.

The lack of a clean sheet so far this season (including the 3-2 EFL Cup win against Bristol Rovers in midweek) will be a slight concern to boss Antonio Conte.

But we think they can buck that trend against the Clarets, who defended tremendously well against Liverpool at Turf Moor last weekend after scoring a couple of early goals.

Chelsea to win to nil is a shade of odds-on at 9/10 and that is the recommendation, with Conte’s side 2/7 to make it three league wins out of three ahead of the first international break.

The draw is 5/1, while a Burnley victory is 12/1.

Chelsea are down to 5/1 (from 6s) for the title, with the Manchester clubs at the top of the market after their own 100% starts to the season. City are 13/8 and United 11/4.

Incidentally, Chelsea were eased from 7/1 to 8/1 for the EFL Cup on Wednesday evening at BetVictor following the news that they will travel to champions Leicester City in the next round.
