Fans on Twitter react to Amorebieta’s sending-off

Fulham fans on Twitter laid into defender Fernando Amorebieta after his sending-off at Leeds on Tuesday.

The Venezuelan centre-back picked up his third red card of his two-and-a-half-year Fulham career when he handled the ball in injury time at Elland Road.

It did not affect the result, a 1-1 draw, but Whites fans were less than impressed by his actions.

Amorebieta is such a liability. Living off a reputation. Never feel safe with him defending.

A few Leeds fans also criticised Amorebieta, while supporters of Middlesbrough – where the defender was on loan earlier this season – noted he would be suspended when the two sides meet on Saturday.
