Fernandes predicts Bircham return
Tony Fernandes wished Marc Bircham well on Twitter following his departure for Millwall – and predicted that the former QPR midfielder would return to Loftus Road.
Bircham left his job as development-squad boss at Rangers this week to join the Lions as first-team coach.
And QPR chairman Fernandes tweeted: “You have been a star. I’m sure you will come back to qpr soon with much more experience. Good luck.”

Bircham yesterday paid tribute to Fernandes and the rest of the QPR board and thanked the fans who had wished him good luck in his new role.
He tweeted: “I know I’m leaving my club in the very best of hands, with people that want the best for the club both on and off the pitch and I know the club has such a bright future ahead.
“I would love to back to each and everyone of you who tweeted me but it would take me till next month so I thank you all.”
