Derby v Fulham player ratings

Fulham’s terrible start to the season continued as they slumped to their fourth defeat in as many Championship matches. Here’s how we rated the players in their 5-1 thrashing at Derby.

Jesse Joronen: 5
Looked panicked and rushed at times. His distribution was poor throughout the game and he dropped an easy cross in the first half that should have been easily dealt with. Fulham miss the experience of Maarten Stekelenburg and David Stockdale.

Tim Hoogland: 5
Consistently gifted Derby possession for the hour he was on the pitch. Jamie Ward gave him a torrid time, going past him repeatedly.

Nikolay Bodurov: 5
Struggled to cope with the movement of Derby’s front three and kept getting pulled out of position by Chris Martin.

Cameron Burgess: 6
The youngster performed admirably in the circumstances. Used his height and strength well to deal with anything direct from Derby, but had serious problems when players ran at him. One for the future.

Sean Kavanagh: 5
Doesn’t look ready for Championship football. Derby’s wingers often beat him and delivered a cross. At fault for allowing the cross to come in for Derby’s first goal.

Scott Parker: 6
Was very poor before his goal. Repeatedly gave the ball away when there was an easy pass available. But took his goal well and drove his team forwards on the rare occasions they left their own half.

Ryan Williams: 6
Performed well on his first start. Displayed a good range of passing but struggled to break up the crisp passing of Derby’s midfield.

Kostas Stafylidis: 6
Fulham’s best player on the day. The only player to cause Derby problems. He delivered some dangerous crosses and very good set-pieces in the first half.

Ross McCormack: 6
Set Parker up for the goal, and showed glimpses of why Fulham paid so much money for him. He looked isolated throughout the match, however, being played out of position on the left, and became frustrated towards the end.

Patrick Roberts: 5
Has huge potential but was unable to have any real impact and struggled with the physicality of the game.

Cauley Woodrow: 5
Didn’t cause Derby’s centre-backs any real problems. Was one of Fulham’s young contingent that looked increasingly shell-shocked as the hosts stormed to victory.

Kay Voser: 5
Looked uncomfortable against the pace of Derby’s wingers after coming on. Could have done better for the final two goals.

Thomas Eisfeld: 5
Came on too late to make an impact. Derby were already rampant against Fulham’s defence so he did not get much time on the ball.

Alexander Kacaniklic: 5
Came on straight after Derby’s second goal, and couldn’t do anything to stop their complete control of the game.

Fulham man of the match: Stafylidis
