Deals could pave the way for Berbatov to return to Spurs – report

Dimitar Berbatov could return to Tottenham if Fulham manage to complete two transfer deals this week, the Daily Mirror say.

Fulham are being linked with an £11m capture of Olympiacos striker Konstantinos Mitroglou and a possible deal for Kaiserslautern forward Simon Zoller, who is apparently rated at £5m.

And it is claimed that former Spurs star Berbatov could leave Craven Cottage and go back to north London if Fulham seal both deals.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is said to be keen to re-sign Berbatov despite boss Tim Sherwood’s apparent reservations.

Zoller, who has scored 10 goals this season, is reported to be attracting the interest of a number of other clubs.

And the Daily Mail suggest Fulham will pip Liverpool and Newcastle to the signing of Mitroglou if they manage to capture him.

The Times, meanwhile, reports that Lewis Holtby could join Fulham on loan from Spurs as part of a deal for Berbatov.

The Mirror say Fulham are lining up another bid for West Ham’s Ravel Morrison.
