Chelsea move for keeper as Liverpool, Everton and Saints stall – report

Chelsea are making a surprise deadline bid to sign Birmingham City goalkeeper Jack Butland, according to the Daily Mirror.

It is claimed that Liverpool, Everton and Southampton have all been given the chance to sign the England international but are reluctant to do so.

Chelsea, on the other hand, are said to be willing to do business and could land Butland for as little as £3m.

They apparently see the 19-year-old as a long-term option should they lose Petr Cech or Thibaut Courtois.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has made a bid to re-sign Didier Drogba, according to The Sun.

Drogba was offered a six-month deal with a further one-year option for next season but is set to join Turkish side Galatasaray, it is claimed.

QPR are discussing a deal for Montpellier’s Younes Belhanda, the Daily Mail say.

Tottenham and Arsenal are reported to have been offered the 22-year-old midfielder, who has been linked with a move to Rangers along with Toulouse’s Etienne Capoue and Porto defender Rolando.

Rangers are preparing an improved bid for Peter Odemwingie, according to the Daily Telegraph.

They are said to be planning to offer £3.25m for the 31-year-old forward, who has made it clear he wants to move to Loftus Road.

A report that Jamie Mackie has been told he can leave QPR makes it into the Mirror and The Sun

Fulham and Norwich are both said to be lining up £3m bids for the 27-year-old.

The Mirror also report that Hull’s bid for QPR striker DJ Campbell is stalling because he wants a three-and-a-half year contract.
