Chelsea, Liverpool, United and Arsenal eyeing Stoke keeper – report

Chelsea are interested in signing Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, according to The Sun.

It is claimed Stoke could be forced to sell the Bosnian, 25, if they are relegated from the Premier League and that Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United are also keen

The Potters, it is claimed, will suffer a £40m shortfall should they go down so are likely to offload players if they drop out of the top flight.

Meanwhile, a number of today’s papers report that Chelsea have opened talks with Manuel Pellegrini over the manager’s job at Stamford Bridge.

The Daily Telegraph believe a meeting took place in Paris last Friday at which it was discussed with Pellegrini’s representative whether the Chilean, 59, would be interested in taking over.

Pellegrini’s contract at Malaga expires at the end of the season.

The Guardian say he is high on Chelsea’s shortlist but the club have delayed a decision until it is clear whether they will be playing in next season’s Champions League.

But Jose Mourinho continues to be linked with a return, with the Daily Mirror suggesting he intends to leave Real Madrid and go back to Chelsea.
