Chelsea linked with double swoop

Chelsea could end up signing both signing Nemanja Matic and Lazar Markovic from Benfica, the Daily Mirror say.

It is claimed that Benfica are ready to do a double deal because of financial problems and have put a £12m price tag on 19-year-old Serbian winger Markovic.

And Matic, who left Chelsea and moved to Benfica as part of the David Luiz deal in 2011, has been linked with a return to Stamford Bridge. Manchester United are also reported to be keen on him.

Meanwhile, The Sun report that Fredy Guarin is in talks over a £12.5m move to Chelsea but has indicated that he wants to stay at Inter Milan despite Blues boss Jose Mourinho’s apparent interest.

The Colombian midfielder is quoted as saying: “I want to stay here. We’ll see what happens. My agent has spoken to Mourinho.”
