Chelsea haven’t looked convincing but will surely be too good for Swansea

Chelsea have been eased out to 6/4 (from 5/4) to retain the Premier League title following their pre-season results.

They lost to Arsenal in Sunday’s Community Shield at Wembley and looked toothless in the final third without injured striker Diego Costa.

We’ve cut Arsenal to 4/1 to win the title (from 9/2) after the morale-boosting victory for the Gunners.

The drift will only serve to entice punters further into ploughing into the champions, however, and there looks to be little juice left in the prices at the top of the table with the Manchester clubs similarly fancied – 11/4 and 5/1 for City and United respectively.

Nevertheless, there’s plenty of value elsewhere with BetVictor’s season handicap market pitting clubs with a mythical head-start on their 19 respective rivals and Bournemouth already well-backed with a +46 head-start on champions Chelsea before a ball is kicked in anger.

Arsenal finished 12 points behind the Blues last term but receive just +6 points in this season’s handicap betting, having been boosted by the signing of keeper Petr Cech from Chelsea.

That said, Chelsea look excellent value at 6/4 to successfully defend their crown.

They start that defence by hosting Swansea at Stamford Bridge and we at BetVictor make them 4/11 to start the new campaign with a win.

The visitors are 19/2 to pull off a shock win, while the draw is 4/1.

Chelsea have won all four league fixtures between the two sides on home soil and can maintain their 100% record on Saturday, with the hosts excellent value at even-money to be leading at both half-time and full-time.
