Chelsea are playing for pride but should beat West Ham

Chelsea are playing for pride after their exits from the Champions League and FA Cup – and we think they’ll pick up a win at home to West Ham on Saturday.

The Blues are 8/11 favourites with BetVictor to win the game, with the Hammers 4/1 and the draw 11/4.

Guus Hiddink has done a tremendous job of steadying the ship at Stamford Bridge and they can take the points in a likely cagey encounter.

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has likewise worked wonders at his club and is now 40/1 (from 50s) with BetVIctor to be named Manager of the Year.

His team are seeking a fourth successive league win and have been cut to 6/1 (from 16s) to achieve a top-four finish. Chelsea, meanwhile, are 9/2 to finish in the top six.

West Ham won the reverse fixture 2-1 at Upton Park, but before that Chelsea had lost just one of their last 19 in all competitions against the east London side.

Chelsea have kept clean sheets on West Ham’s last four visits to the Bridge and are 6/4 to do so again. They are 2/1 to win to nil and 11/4 to win with both teams scoring.

A 2-0 Chelsea victory is 17/2, while a win by that scoreline with Oscar scoring the first goal is priced at 40/1.
