Winger Reiten leaves after six years at Chelsea

Guro Reiten has left Chelsea to join American side Gotham FC.

The Norwegian winger, 31, spent six years with the Blues, during which time she helped the club win 13 trophies.

Chelsea won the Women’s Super League titles in all six of her previous seasons at the club and she also won four FA Cups and three League Cups, scoring 59 goals in 207 appearances.

She was a mainstay under former boss Emma Hayes but has been less involved under Sonia Bompastor and has started just three league matches this season.

“Everything has an end and this is my end here at Chelsea,” Reiten said in a video posted on the club website.
